All the holidays are lead by Ben Francis, who works as a full-time independent and freelance Instructor.  Below is a list of the qualifications he holds.

International Mountain Leader - An IML holder has been trained and assessed to lead groups walking in Europe and further afield on general walking territory of a non-glaciated nature.

Winter Mountain Leader - This qualification entitles the holder to lead groups in the UK at any time of year. They can also teach winter skills, such as ice axe and crampon use.

Summer Mountain Leader - This qualification entitles the holder to lead groups in the UK in summer conditions.

Single Pitch Award - This qualification entitles the holder to take groups rock climbing in the UK in summer conditions with certain restrictions.

First Aid Qualification - Ben will always have an up-to-date and appropriate first aid qualification, which will be renewed at least every three years.

Other Qualifications

Ben also holds BCU level 2 Instructor in Canoe, and RYA powerboat level 2 and Safety Boat awards. He is also currently working towards his MIA - MIA holders can take you multi-pitch rock climbing in summer conditions in the UK, and instruct in techniques for lead climbing amongst other things.
